Sam had a fun Saturday! It was Mama Kay's birthday, and she celebrated by being baptized. We couldn't be there, but will see her next weekend! We went to Land between the Lakes National Recreation Area and drove through the Elk and Bison Prairie, where we saw a lone elk bull, and then a herd of elk. We didn't see any bison, though. Then we took a walk through the Nature Station and saw deer, owls, an eagle, bobcats, coyotes, red wolves, turkeys, snakes, turtles, and hummingbirds. Before we left, we had a picnic, and Sam declared he was ready to go home! He couldn't leave without a souvenir- a stuffed beaver named Bucky!
