I have to admit, Sam, that I thought you would ROCK your first soccer game. You are athletic, ACTIVE, and comepetive! You were so excited for your game, and loved the "warm up" time. But, when it came time for the actual game, much of the time was spent carrying your water bottle around the field, whining about your "too hot!" socks, and crying because a girl kicked the ball before you could....
After the game you went back to kicking the ball into the goal, and loving it! So after a pep talk, and a compromise to wear shorter socks next week, here's hoping that you actually stay on the field next week (and not knock anybody down- since we told you just to get in there and kick the ball!)

Dear Sam...we wish you good luck in your soccer game in the morning ! One of these Saturday's Mamma is going to be there to watch you kick & run after that ball! Call me when your done in the morning..I can't wait to hear all about it. We love you !
