Angry....

...would describe Samuel's morning. He had a 10:40 AM appointment at Purchase ENT where Dr. Jones' nurse, Heather, and I held Samuel down while the nurse practitioner suctioned Sam's ear canal free of "goo". While I have to hold kids down for this on an almost weekly basis for this very purpose during ear clinic, very few of their cries ever get to me, and I tell the parents that it really doesn't hurt, it just makes a loud noise. Samuel has told me that I am never to tell parents this again. He said that it HURTS. A. LOT.
Angry also describes Samuel since he is missing the rest of his swim lessons this week due to the yucky infection.
Angry describes Mama since Samuel is sitting in time out this very minute for kicking the cat...
In all reality, Sam and I had a productive "sick day". He played and napped, and got new medicine for his ear (that will actually work now that the drops can get in there). I cleaned and cooked 3 nights worth of dinners. When he is done with his timeout, we are going back outside!
